Adding to the mundanity, I just had to brag that I emptied nine bins today. Nine! We use the big plastic tubs to store stuff, and we had nine tubs left from when we had the carpet and paint guys come in November. Of course, the tubs were mostly books, and Mr. X painted three old bookshelves, which just finished their alloted two-week dry time. So, we now have room to walk through the bedroom, nice new bookshelves with books on them, and a bin full of books for the used bookstore. Yay!
Time to make a late dinner! (Oh, and I changed my name on my profile again. Realized that I know too many people with the first name I picked, and they might find it weird if they thought I used their name intentionally!)

I'm so proud of you for emptying your bins! (I hope that doesn't sound condescending...) We moved into our house in June and I still have not fully unpacked. We still have some boxes of things that have been packed for years and never touched because we have moved 4 times in the last 3 years. I desperately want to completely unpack and feel settled in my house. Unfortunately, we don't have all the organizational tools/furniture we need. I don't have anywhere to put the stuff once I unpack it... I am hoping we can do some garage sale shopping this summer to get what we need. I don't want this baby to come and still not be unpacked. I fear that will be a death sentence for my boxes and I'll still be dealing with them in 18 years...
Anyway, good for you! It is very exciting to cross a project off the list!
To me, there is nothing more freeing that getting rid of "stuff" you simply don't need. My husband got me in the habit of this, and now our house seems to be so much tidier - we only have clothes and things we wear or use often.
Our rule: If you don't wear it often, it goes to Goodwill.
By the way, I am making my blog more private so you will have to log in with an email address (I have to invite you first.) So if you still want to read my blog, maybe you can post an email address I can invite.
Thanks for the comments--I'm really working on the whole idea of getting rid of the things I don't need or use. And I know the fear that I will have these boxes forever!
And, lifehopes, yes, please, I'd like to keep reading! :) You can e-mail me at nondavista at yahoo dot com!
